Welcome to Moving Towards Stillness. This website is a place for us to let you know about future retreats/workshops, regular classes, to share some of our past events and to let you know a little of who we are and what we do.
Between us (Tony and Jody) we have over 60 years of practicing our disciplines and 45 years of teaching experience. We are passionate about what we do and feel very blessed and grateful for all the opportunities that have come our way, and to now be sharing our expertise by offering the combination of Karate and Yoga retreats, that allow you the space to delve deeper into your practice, and you.
Our retreats are an opportunity to immerse yourself in your practice, to spend time away from your usual busy routine, either quietly by yourself or mixing with other like minded people. Often while on a retreat students find a whole new depth to their practice once they can let go of the stresses of work, life etc. We aim to provide a safe space to be, to replenish and grow, to train, to find a peace that takes us towards that elusive stillness.
The notion of safety, or temporarily removing oneself from one's usual environment in order to
become immersed in a particular subject matter.
